The Ka-65 Lamprey is an advanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft being developed as the replacement for the Soviet-era Ka-27 helicopter. Russian Helicopters expects the first prototype of Lamprey to take to the skies after 2020. The aircraft key specifications and characteristics were determined in late 2016. The Ka-65 Lamprey helicopter may enter active duty with the Russian Navy by 2030.
